The Oakwood Hardware Cap

When my family moved into our current neighbourhood, its proximity to The Oakwood Hardware was a key feature. It was more than a restaurant - it was the beating heart of the community and, in a city replete with culinary gems, it put Oakwood Village on the map. Its success became a catalyst for other notable ventures nearby, which now includes DAM Sandwiches, Porzia’s Lasagne, Primrose Bagels and more.

We were lucky to get to know owner and chef Anne Sorrenti during the pandemic and have loved getting to work with her. When we learned that The Oakwood Hardware was being forced to close at the end of May, we knew we wanted to get involved. As sad as we are to see The Oakwood Hardware close, we’re excited to be launching a new partnership with Anne and providing community members a chance to take home a souvenir to remember what The Oakwood Hardware has meant to all of us over the past eight years.
