The Main | Relax Faded Crew

Before Boulevard Saint-Laurent became a trendy thoroughfare, it was the dividing line between east and west. it was also the cultural spine of Canada's oldest Jewish community. It was where new arrivals stepped off the train, set down roots in cold-water flats, worked long shifts in the garment district, and gathered over smoked meat, fresh rye, and community debate. That history is still seen in the historic landmarks that remain like Schwartz's and the famous bagel bakeries, and more subtly in the faded Hebrew that can still be be seen on aged masonry. Our design takes its cue from the neighbourhood itself - no overt tropes, no loud branding—just a quiet, enduring shibboleth honoring the street that shaped generations.
